On 17/02/2009, the disease has been informed in a duck flock, raising by household Nguyen Van Hau, in Khanh Hoa commune, U Minh district, and caused deaths for 225 ducks among the whole flock of 414.
Currently, 10 provinces – Bac Lieu, Bac Ninh, Ca Mau, Hau Giang, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Khanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, Quang Tri and Soc Trang reported HPAI in poultry in the last 21 days.
